Product Line Testing

Hugh’s Mechanical Equipment is a company renowned for its unwavering dedication to delivering unparalleled customer service of the highest caliber.
Our comprehensive range of services includes Annual Product Line Testing and Mechanical Leak Detection Testing, both of which are executed with meticulous precision using innovative Estabrook’s line testing and leak detector equipment. With a constant pressure line testing system, Estabrook’s equipment ensures utmost accuracy and allows for testing at lower line pressures. As per regulations, line testing must be conducted at a positive pressure equivalent to 1.5 times the system’s operating pressure, while successfully detecting a leak rate of 0.1 gallon per hour. It is important to note that vacuum tests do not fulfill regulatory requirements for pressurized or suction piping systems.
Line Tightness Testing is a mandatory procedure to be conducted once every three years, and in certain states, annually, for all single wall, pressurized, underground product lines lacking SIR (Statistical Inventory Reconciliation) or an electronic line leak detector capable of conducting a monthly 0.2GPH (gallon per hour) test. Suction systems equipped with a check valve positioned at the tank necessitate line tightness testing once every three years. Rest assured that all testers at Hugh’s Mechanical Equipment hold valid certifications and possess the expertise required to conduct precise testing on your equipment.
We prioritize the satisfaction of our customers, and our commitment to exceptional service is reflected in our attention to detail and adherence to industry standards.
Requirements for Line Tightness Testing:

• Minimum of 30-minute period between dispensing and testing per line.
• Minimum 30-minute test.
